For Alles means for all. Alles means all in German; we wanted to pay tribute to our German heritage and one particularly inspiring woman. Without her this incredible dream would not be possible. We chose For Alles because our brand exists to represent all women of different shapes and sizes.
For Alles is a clothing brand that encourages women to celebrate themselves and build their confidence and body positivity. For Alles was created to represent a variety of women and supply them with clothes that were designed with them in mind.
We all know most women are not built like a model and we believe their clothes should be designed for them. For Alles plans to use a variety of women who are various shapes and sizes in our campaigns and on our website. We also promise to never photoshop a woman’s body to look different than it is.
For Alles is here to tell women to stand up and be confident in whom they are. We are building a community to embrace that confidence.
Julie-Anne Bignal, a graduate from Indiana University with a major in fashion design, came up with For Alles on one of her many early morning train rides into Manhattan. For Alles was born on one of those early mornings out of the frustrating realization of unrealistic body expectations, lack of model diversity and cheaply made clothing that falls apart after one wash. She knew she wanted to influence the fashion industry and if she was going to try now was the time.
Julie-Anne has always loved fashion ever since she was a young child… when she spent her days dressing up in the most outrageous clothes she could find in her moms closet. Special thank you shout out to the 90’s. Today she enjoys watching the Today Show in the mornings while snuggling with her rescue Yorkie, Angel. Her favorite Ben and Jerry’s ice cream is Half Baked; and in her free time she enjoys taking naps. In all seriousness though, Julie-Anne is very passionate about For Alles and dreams of revolutionizing the fashion industry and revitalizing the manufacturing industry in America.
