October means the beginning of fall!! It’s our favorite time of year so naturally we have a lot we’re looking forward to this month! This fall we’re looking forward to transitional season style, pumpkin spice everything, velvet galore and of course Halloween!
Summer to Fall Style
Our favorite part about fall is the transition from summer to fall. We love being able to throw on an oversized sweater with our favorite shorts and heading out the door. This transitional period is a really awesome time to experiment with layering. One of the biggest trends this fall is layering a dress over jeans. We suggest pairing a fashionable long sleeve top (like our Bea bell sleeve cropped top) with your favorite jeans and a strappy pair of sandals. Show off your style before you’re forced to cover up under a winter coat!
Ok…. This is on our list basically out of necessity. We try not to get too ahead of ourselves before the season comes and we’ve been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for fall so we can enjoy all things pumpkin spice! Honorable mention goes to Starbucks for the wonderful pumpkin spice latte; this year we’re getting a little more creative with how we indulge in this wonderful fall tradition. Try picking up a delicious smelling candle to fill your home with the fragrance of fall! Trust us, it’s worth it! We’re also crazy about the color for this fall. It’s so warm and welcoming, and a major plus to any wardrobe!
VELVET EVERYTHING!!! We’ve been crushing hard on velvet for a while now and seeing so many incredible street style looks over the last month has only fueled the fire. We’re pining for a killer pair of velvet boots. Velvet has become a fall staple and we’re not upset about it. Would it be wrong to wear velvet head to toe? Maybe…. But we’re supportive of the statement!
Halloween is up at the top of our list for favorite holidays. It’s a great time to have fun and get creative with costumes! Or if dressing up isn’t your thing there are so many more options to enjoy! Haunted hayrides, carving pumpkins and scary movies are always great options. We love getting a group of friends together for a costume contest and a laughter filled evening! Be safe this year and maybe avoid dressing up as a clown… There are so many better options anyway!
Enjoy your October and be sure to fill it with amazing, fashionable experiences! We know we will!
